Description of Plant:
Dixie is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, approximately 10 miles from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and 5 miles from the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
The plant totals 82,000 sq ft. comprising of office, manufacturing and warehousing space. The building is “doors down” year round with Bug Lights at all docks. The buildings are mostly concrete block. The main manufacturing plant is air-conditioned. The equipment heats the building in the winter supplemented by natural gas heaters. The company maintains an oil fired 800kw generator with an automatic transfer switch that is capable of running most equipment for up to 24 hours without refueling.
